Microsoft has revealed that Windows 10 is now running on over 400 million active devices. This is compared to the 300 million active devices milestone that the company announced in early May.
The new milestone, as reported by ZDNet, represents devices that have been active in the past 28 days. Besides Windows 10 PCs and tablets, the 400 million milestone also includes Windows 10 Mobile smartphones, Xbox One consoles, the Microsoft Hololens headset and the Surface Hub large whiteboard PCs.
Microsoft previously predicted that Windows 10 would be on 1 billion active devices by mid-2018, but in July the company stated that its consolidation of its smartphone business will cause the OS to miss that deadline.
